Brilliant
An excellent portable/luggable generator. At 94Kg it's fine on solid ground but gets interesting to move on soft or sloping terrain. Well made and good quality with everything needed in the box including the plug for a power supply to a caravan or house. Not a pure sine generator but maintains a stable voltage under variable loads.

Got this as a back up to my off grid solar at home I have only had to use it twice and both times it performed exactly as it should I am very very happy with it and have no hesitation in recommending this generator to other people
6500w Remote Generator
This is a great product, very easy to use. It was recommended by a person we know, we have had several power cuts since the cyclone Gabrielle and being rural you never know long the power cuts are for.

There's always a lemon and I got it
Several issues I didn't notice until the battery died are 1: mine is putting out 15-16volts DC to charge its starter battery when it should be 13.5-14 so that likely damaged the battery. 2: the DC outlet only puts out 10volts so I cant use that for anything 3: in order to use the remote you need a switch on that has an LED light which will eventually drain and eventually kill your battery and that is a hassle as you must remember to turn off daily however all that said the remote is GREAT, power output awesome, starts and runs with no other issues it is a good gene I've used mine 4 years no other issues. Tip for on solar: when connected through our inverter to charge our solar batteries it will stop and start because fluctuation in hertz, by adding load to generator we can get our inverter to charge uninterupted instead of getting an inverter generator but if you have the money go with inverter generator. I would still recommend I was probly just unlucky and got the dud Cheers

Back up generator
Great generator for the price. Bought as a backup generator for a diesel generator integrated into an off grid solar powered, with batteries, system. The 32A plug was perfect for plugging into my existing system, should the primary generator fail. Easy start and works as described.

It delivers as promised, a little noisy but expected for the size engine. It easily supports a whole family stand by power.

Very pleased

Very easy to assemble. Followed start up procedures and click brooooom. Fired up first pop. Sparky did wiring to our switch board and now it can power our entire house.
Great Unit
The generator was easy to assemble the wheels / feet etc with great instructions. Started first time and quieter than I thought. You will need to get a wire and a stake for an earth strap according to the manual but this was only a low cost part for the copper wire from an electrical supply shop and an old farm electric fencing standard. Definitely value for money for a powerful home generator.
As good as expected!
After cyclone Gabriel we were without power for 5 days. Rather than buy a small generator for just the freezer I found this Newman 6500w model for the same price. With the 32amp outlet I can power the whole house. I have only test run it for only 5 mins so far but it does power the house without issues. With the remote start it has the ability to be on standby permanently. Great value for money!

Great generator. Works well for the price
Quiet Power Supply
Very happy with this generator. Remote works well over a long distance. When on a 25m extension lead, you can just hear this operating. Only negative would be not having a fuel gauge but I guess I'll know when it runs out!

Great little generator
Really happy with this purchase. I wanted a back-up power supply for our home and as long as I'm careful with the load I'll be able to pretty much keep the house running as normal.... including fridge/freezer, heat pump etc. Electric start is a real bonus too !

Had a 3500w older generator pry to purchasing my new one and it struggled on some jobs the Newman Generator 6500w rocks even runs my arc welder without breaking a sweat very happy recommended great value.

Great product
I bought one of these generators nearly 2 years ago. Product performed beyond expectations. Had a defect recently but Trade Tested put it right without hesitation. Can fully recommend product and Trade Tested.
Warning re fuel left in generator tank
I have owned one of these generators for nearly 2 years and have run it for about 50 hours in total. I drain the carb after each use. Today I drained all the fuel from the tank with a syphon pump and was astounded to see the inside of the fuel VERY rusty. Probably limited life left in it! BE AWARE!
Almost great.
We ran the generator in yesterday and about 2 hours in the ac plugs stopped working. We tried to shut the generator down to reset them but found we couldn't. The start stop switch is faulty. We were still able to run it in for 5 hours and were able to reset the ac sockets without shutting the generator off. To shut it down we had to switch the fuel supply off and let it choke. On the plus side it did start first time and everything ran perfectly except the on off switch. We will get an electrician to fix it. I would have given this generator five stars were it not for the faulty switch.
